Athlete Program Tracking -
To track athletes in the Yearly Plan, we developed and use our “Power Hitting Athlete Profile”.
Parents have asked for some way to track to see if their athlete is actually getting better and so they can continue to justify the training costs.
Data from each training session is entered into an app and then a report is sent to parents periodically to show the coaches feedback and the athlete’s training data (hitting velocity, power hitting confidence and other info) from the training sessions.
Confidence Tracking -
Power Hitting Confidence measures each athlete’s confidence in their ability to hit a ball with power.
The first measurement is in the 3-Hour Introductory Clinic and then it’s remeasured at each subsequent training session. We will continue to track this to ensure the athlete’s confidence is improving over time.
Measure Velocity -
One important measure is how fast the ball is moving after the athlete hits it.
This is ball velocity and we will measure ball velocity at the intro clinic and then at each training session and track this over time to ensure that velocity is improving. This is integral in athlete development. So you know your athlete is actually improving.
Hitting Mechanics Analysis -
Parents and athletes will have access to these videos to see how the athletes mechanics are improving over time.
At the Introductory Clinic and at subsequent training sessions each athlete’s hitting mechanics are captured in slow motion on an iPad.
